Town Hall Hotel
Our first ever full interior scheme
The kitchen, located in the basement, features an earthy-pink hue that complements the subdued natural light. The custom-made oak and sapele cabinetry’s design was inspired by the peeling bark of maple trees, directly translated into the unit handles. These handles were crafted using various joinery processes, showcasing the studio’s woodworking expertise.
Functional modernity is introduced with stainless steel, highlighted by a showpiece steel monolith. The central island section, supported by two large-diameter, hand-turned pedestal legs, embodies sculptural simplicity.
Alongside the kitchen’s fabrication, Jan Hendzel studio designed a custom dining table to align with Jill’s vision. This table, featuring a tonal timber contrast in its legs and tabletop, also incorporates large-diameter, hand-turned legs for a simple sculptural form. Named the Highshore table after the road where the house stands, it is the inaugural piece in a forthcoming collection from the studio, set to launch in autumn 2025 and currently available for purchase via the webshop.
The custom furniture pieces are complemented by a selection of antiques and design classics, including Halabala chairs, Luigi Colani seating, a Cappellini sideboard, and lighting by Ingo Maurer, Gae Aulenti, Hans Verstufyt, and Vincent Van Duysen.
