The new Staved Dining and Ruston Bistro tables are unified by bevelled details, staved construction and unique joinery, demonstrating the studio’s unique approach to craftsmanship.
Merging traditional joinery techniques with digital manufacturing practices allows the studio to experiment with texture and function in unique pieces that lay between sculpture and furniture.
Each leg is made of 12 equal staves (or prisms), carefully pieced together to create a hollow cylindrical base on which the table sits. The joining triangular frame has been designed to be infinitely customisable in size, owing to the equilateral geometry of the frame and it’s three half-lap joints. It has also been precisely cut to sit flush atop the legs.
