Jan Hendzel Studio’s curation reflects the playful, sculptural and detailed craftsmanship that is found throughout their own work. It also relies on the unknown, and the chance selections of each of the established artists, allowing the exhibition to define itself through the platform it gives and the connections it makes.
11:11 was born out of a desire to show interesting, engaging and exciting works of design, in a way that would create a platform for new talent. An initial selection of 11 UK-based designers was followed by an open call for up and coming designers. The established designers then selected one emerging artist each from the open call, giving the exhibition its final 11:11.
