Peng Dining Chair references the proportions of a classic French Bistro Chair whilst also taking inspiration from the construction of a Welsh Stick Chair. Merging digital and traditional woodworking techniques, the studio has digitally created the seat and backrest, finishing each piece with hand drawn knife detail on all components. Made from ash, the chairs are finished with a hard wax oil and buffed with beeswax, accentuating the faceted shapes and the hand hewn detail – giving it a sculptural and textural quality.
